Who can take part
- You have osteogenesis imperfecta type I, III, or IV confirmed by genetic testing (COL1A1 or COL1A2 gene mutations)
- Your bone density is below normal (measured by a scan called DEXA)
- You are between 12 and 75 years old
- You have not taken certain bone-strengthening medications recently (bisphosphonates in past 6 months, denosumab in past 2 years, or other similar drugs)
- You do not have vitamin D deficiency or other hormone imbalances affecting bone health
- You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant during the study
