Who can take part
- You must have HER2-positive invasive breast cancer (confirmed by a biopsy or other test).
- The cancer must not have spread to distant parts of the body (stage IV).
- Tumors that are T1N0M0 (very small and node-negative) are not eligible.
- You must be willing to receive chemotherapy before surgery, along with HER2-targeted therapy, for at least 4-6 cycles.
- You must be 20 years of age or older and have adequate organ function (kidney, liver, blood counts).
- You must have good heart function, with an ejection fraction of 50% or higher, checked by an echocardiogram or MUGA scan.
