  • Age 18 or older
  • Have gums that are healthy, inflamed, or have periodontitis (gum disease)
  • No tooth extractions or implant removals in the past 4 weeks
  • No gum surgery in the past 4 weeks
  • Not currently receiving chemotherapy, head/neck radiation, or immune-suppressing medications
  • Not pregnant or breastfeeding
