Who can take part

  • You must be a dental student in your 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year at University of Michigan School of Dentistry, OR a dental resident/junior faculty with at least 2 years of clinical experience outside dental school
  • You must have prior experience detecting tooth decay (cavities) in your training
  • You must be willing to participate in all study activities for the full duration
  • You must be able to provide informed consent and follow all study procedures
  • If you're a dental resident, you cannot specialize in orthodontics, periodontics, or oral surgery
