Who can take part
- Your kidney artery is narrowed by 60% or more
- Your blood pressure is high (160/100 or higher untreated, or 140/90 or higher on three blood pressure medicines)
- Your kidney function is not severely impaired (creatinine level below 3.0 mg/dL)
- Your affected kidney is at least 7 cm long and still filtering some waste (GFR at least 10)
- You do not have a severe allergy to contrast dye used during the procedure
- Your kidney artery blockage is caused by plaque, not other rare diseases
