Who can take part

  • Be at least 18 years old (any gender)
  • Have a narrowed vertebral artery from plaque (atherosclerotic vertebral artery stenosis)
  • Be able and willing to understand the study and sign informed consent
  • Be able to take two blood-thinning medicines (dual antiplatelet therapy) unless your doctor says it’s unsafe
  • No major bleeding risk—such as active stomach/intestinal bleeding
  • Not have certain recent major strokes/heart attacks, uncontrolled blood pressure, or serious short life expectancy (<12 months)
