Who can take part
- You have a dental implant (tooth replacement) in bone that needs exposure surgery
- You have or may have peri-implantitis (infection and bone loss around an implant)
- You have not had previous surgery for peri-implantitis problems
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
- You do not have autoimmune disease, genetic disorders, or poorly controlled diabetes or high blood pressure
- You have not had cancer treatment, oral cancer, or used certain medications recently (anti-inflammatory drugs within 2 weeks; antibiotics within 3 months)
