Metal particles and treatment of infected dental implants

Peri-implantitis

Part of Mouth & dental clinical trials.

This study looks at tiny metal particles from dental implants to see if they affect how a gum and bone infection around implants (peri-implantitis) gets worse. It may help improve how we treat patients with this condition.

NCT05832541Recruiting
Study tissue changes around dental implants in adults

This trial studies signs of inflammation and tissue change around dental implants (especially in people with peri-implantitis) compared with people getting implants in healthier gum/bone areas. It may help doctors understand what markers to look for to better monitor or treat implant problems.

NCT07697729Not yet recruiting
Gum proteins and inflammation around dental implants

This trial looks at specific proteins found in the gum tissue around dental implants. The goal is to understand how these proteins may be linked to inflammation in people with peri-implantitis, a condition that affects the gums and bone around implants.

NCT06063876Enrolling by invitation
Gum health study for treated dental implants

This study looks at how gums react to plaque buildup around dental implants that were previously treated for infection. It may help understand if one treatment method leads to healthier gums.

NCT06614426Not yet recruiting
Surgery for gum and bone infections around dental implants

This trial tests a surgical treatment for peri-implantitis, which is a gum infection around a dental implant that causes bone loss. It aims to help people who need this procedure and can commit to follow-up visits.

NCT07550127Recruiting
Managing Dental Implant Infection: Surgery and Follow-up Care

This study tests how to treat peri-implantitis—an infection around dental implants—using surgery, then tracks how well your implants heal and stay healthy over time. The research may help improve treatment for people with failing implants.

NCT06153212Enrolling by invitation
Regenerative treatment for gum infection around dental implants

This study tests a new regenerative treatment for gum infections around dental implants (peri-implantitis). It may help people whose implants are otherwise healthy and positioned correctly, and who have good overall health.
