Preventive heart stent strategy for high-risk heart artery disease

This trial tests whether placing a stent early in heart arteries with dangerous-looking plaques (sticky buildups) helps prevent heart attacks. You'll be monitored closely with heart imaging to see if early intervention is safer than watching and waiting.

Who can take part

  • Age 18 or older
  • Chest pain or similar symptoms suggesting heart artery problems
  • CT heart scan (CCTA) showing moderate narrowing with at least 2 dangerous plaque features (soft plaque, abnormal shape, or tiny calcium spots)
  • Healthy heart pumping strength (ejection fraction ≥35%)
  • No severe kidney disease or dialysis
  • Willing to take blood thinners for at least 1 year
