Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 64 years old.
- You are not able to become pregnant (for women, this means you are post-menopausal or surgically sterile).
- You have a body mass index (BMI) between 18.5 and 29.9 if you are healthy, or between 20.0 and 34.9 if you have type 2 diabetes.
- Your blood sugar (HbA1c) is 6.4% or lower for healthy participants, or between 6.5% and 9.0% for those with type 2 diabetes.
- You have no history of heart or kidney disease, including unstable chest pain, heart attack, or stroke.
- If you have type 2 diabetes, you have been on a stable dose of metformin or other diabetes medicines for at least 90 days.
