Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You need surgery to treat peripheral arterial occlusive disease (blocked or narrowed arteries) using a groin incision
- You are at high risk for wound healing complications based on your health history (diabetes, kidney disease, smoking, obesity, age over 80, or previous similar surgeries)
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
- You do not have an active skin infection or serious infection in the leg being treated
- You are not using certain wound-healing products during or after surgery (coated drapes, fibrin sealants, or negative pressure wound therapy)
