Who can take part

  • You have a diabetic foot ulcer or a venous leg ulcer that hasn't been healing well.
  • Your wound is at least half a square centimeter in size but no larger than about 28 square centimeters (measured after cleaning).
  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You do not have a pacemaker or implanted electronic device, and you are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You are not being treated with a strong immune-suppressing medicine (except a stable low-dose steroid) or advanced wound therapies like negative pressure or hyperbaric oxygen.
  • Your wound is not on a toe, and you have no deep infection or severe blood flow problems in your leg.
