Who can take part
- You experienced cardiac arrest (heart stopped beating) outside a hospital and CPR was started
- You are 18 years old or older
- You are not pregnant or suspected to be pregnant
- Your cardiac arrest was not caused by trauma (accident or injury)
- You do not have a known abdominal aortic aneurysm (a bulge in the main artery in your belly)
- Your abdominal size allows for safe application of the tourniquet device
