Who can take part

  • You experienced cardiac arrest (heart stopped beating) outside a hospital and CPR was started
  • You are 18 years old or older
  • You are not pregnant or suspected to be pregnant
  • Your cardiac arrest was not caused by trauma (accident or injury)
  • You do not have a known abdominal aortic aneurysm (a bulge in the main artery in your belly)
  • Your abdominal size allows for safe application of the tourniquet device
