Who can take part

  • You had surgery to remove a squamous cell carcinoma (a common type of cancer) from your mouth, throat, or voice box
  • Your cancer had at least one intermediate risk feature: cancer cells in lymph nodes, spread along nerves, spread through blood vessels, or surgery cut very close to cancer
  • You are between 18 and 80 years old
  • You are healthy enough for treatment (minimal limitations in daily activities)
  • You can commit to long-term follow-up visits and monitoring
  • You have not had radiation therapy to your head or neck before
