Who can take part

  • You are between 30 and 65 years old
  • Your blood pressure readings are in the mild-to-moderate high range (systolic 140–159 or diastolic 90–99 mmHg)
  • You are not currently taking blood pressure medication, or stopped at least 3 months ago, and won't take any during the 15-week study
  • You have no history of heart attacks, strokes, or serious heart rhythm problems
  • You have no metal implants in your head (like pacemakers or surgical clips) and no recent brain surgery
  • You have no skin problems, infections, or allergies on your forehead or temple area where the device will be placed
