Who can take part
- You are male and at least 18 years old
- You have a medical reason for a prostate biopsy, such as high PSA levels, an abnormal rectal exam, or a suspicious spot on an MRI scan
- This is your first prostate biopsy
- You can rate your pain on a scale (Visual Analog Scale) during and after the procedure
- You do not have an active urinary tract infection or rectal/perineal issues that would make the biopsy unsafe
- You are not on blood thinners that cannot be safely stopped before the procedure
