Who can take part
- You are an adult male scheduled for a prostate biopsy because of a possible sign of prostate cancer (like a high PSA, abnormal rectal exam, or suspicious scan).
- Your heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, and blood clotting are working well enough to safely have a biopsy.
- You do not have an active infection or fever right now.
- You do not have a bleeding disorder that would make a biopsy risky.
- You do not have any other serious health condition that would make the biopsy unsafe (such as severe high blood pressure, heart failure, or severe hemorrhoids/rectal problems).
- You (or a legal representative) must sign a consent form agreeing to take part.
