Who can take part

  • At least 18 years old
  • Have a specific model of Cochlear implant (CI600, CI500, or Freedom series) in the ear being tested
  • At least 6 months of experience using your cochlear implant
  • Able to understand speech at a reasonable level in your implanted ear, even in noisy environments
  • Significant hearing loss in your other ear (non-implanted ear)
  • Own a compatible smartphone and speak fluent English (or the language used in the study)
