Who can take part

  • You are a male between 60 and 80 years old
  • You have been diagnosed with stage II peripheral arterial disease (PAD) caused by clogged arteries, confirmed by an ankle-brachial index test below 0.90
  • Your doctor has cleared you to do moderate-to-vigorous exercise like playing handball
  • You are not currently exercising regularly (less than 2.5 hours per week in the last 6 months)
  • You have no serious heart conditions, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or complications like foot ulcers, nerve damage, or severe kidney or eye problems
  • You have not had leg amputation surgery and can grip and throw a ball
