- You are 18 years old or older
- You have symptoms of brain or spinal cord inflammation (headache, fever, confusion, neck stiffness, or weakness)

- You have been diagnosed with tick-borne encephalitis through blood or spinal fluid testing
- You are not pregnant and do not plan to become pregnant during the study
- You have not received steroid medications in the past month
