Who can take part
- You’re an adult (age 18 or older)
- Your brain injury is from trauma and does NOT involve a penetrating wound
- Your injury started within the last 8 hours
- Your case is mild to moderate, with a GCS score greater than 8
- You can have your team give the study medicine and participate in follow-up
- You are not in cardiac arrest and you don’t have a bleeding problem or kidney failure
