Who can take part

  • You’re an adult (age 18 or older)
  • Your brain injury is from trauma and does NOT involve a penetrating wound
  • Your injury started within the last 8 hours
  • Your case is mild to moderate, with a GCS score greater than 8
  • You can have your team give the study medicine and participate in follow-up
  • You are not in cardiac arrest and you don’t have a bleeding problem or kidney failure
