Heart Disease Screening in Kidney Disease Patients

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)Coronary Artery Disease (CAD)

Part of Heart & circulation, Kidney & urinary, Women’s health & pregnancy clinical trials.

This study looks at heart imaging scans in people with kidney disease to find early signs of heart problems. Researchers will use special imaging already planned as part of your normal care to see if it can help identify who needs heart treatment.

NCT07141628Not yet recruiting
Heart risk study for people with stage 4 kidney disease

This study looks at a protein called lipoprotein(a) in the blood to see if it predicts heart problems in people with stage 4 chronic kidney disease who are not on dialysis or transplant. Following participants for 18 months, it aims to find ways to better manage heart risk.

NCT06383208Recruiting
Heart and kidney risk study for people with both diseases

This study looks at how well we can predict heart and kidney problems in people who have both coronary heart disease and chronic kidney disease. By analyzing certain markers, researchers hope to create a better risk assessment tool.

NCT05369728Not yet recruiting
Testing how well scans find hidden coronary artery disease

This study screens people with chest symptoms to see who might have coronary artery disease (CAD) when it’s not clear from symptoms alone. It may help doctors choose the right imaging tests for more accurate answers and safer care.

NCT06037759Not yet recruiting
New heart tests for people with kidney disease

This study looks at new ways to check heart health in people with kidney disease. Researchers want to find out if special blood tests can help predict heart problems in patients on dialysis or those with earlier stage kidney disease.
