Who can take part
- Had a stroke at least 6 months ago (either side of body)
- Age 45–65 years old
- No significant memory or thinking problems (able to follow 3-step instructions)
- Medically stable and no active heart or bone/joint problems
- Balance score between 21–50 on the Berg Balance Scale (a standard test)
- Able to travel to the medical center for exercise sessions
