Who can take part
- You are 65 years or older
- You are having spine surgery involving at least 2 vertebral levels under general anesthesia (being put to sleep)
- You can provide written informed consent and understand the study
- You do not have severe cognitive impairment or psychiatric conditions that would make participation unsafe or difficult
- You do not have certain serious heart, brain, liver, or hormonal conditions listed in the medical protocol
