Who can take part
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You need to have had an acute ischemic stroke (a stroke caused by a blocked blood vessel) with symptoms starting within the last 48 hours.
- Your stroke must be moderately severe, as evaluated by a standard stroke scale.
- You must be able to consent to the study and be willing to participate.
- You cannot have had severe disability before the stroke, recent major procedures for the stroke (like thrombectomy), or serious heart, liver, kidney, or lung disease.
