Who can take part
- You had a stroke confirmed by CT or MRI scan
- You developed pain after the stroke that feels like burning, electric shocks, or needle pricks
- Your pain has lasted at least 3 months and is rated 4 or higher on a 0–10 pain scale
- You are 18 years or older and able to complete follow-up visits for at least 6 months
- You did not have chronic pain problems before your stroke
- You do not have severe memory or thinking problems that would prevent you from participating
