Safe Exercise Plan for Young People at Risk of Heart Disease

Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Without Obstruction

Who can take part

  • You are between 10 and 18 years old
  • You have a family history of HCM or carry a gene linked to HCM
  • You are being followed at Alder Hey Children's Hospital's inherited heart clinic
  • Your heart is currently working normally
  • You can keep a weekly exercise log (with parent/carer help) and join phone check-ins
  • You don't have moderate-to-severe other health problems affecting movement or breathing
