Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have stage IV non-small cell lung cancer (a type of lung cancer that has spread), and you are about to start your first treatment with pembrolizumab (an immunotherapy drug) plus chemotherapy.
- You are able to care for yourself and are up and about at least half of the day (ECOG score 0-2).
- You are willing to receive the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine as part of the study.
- If you can become pregnant, you agree to use effective birth control during treatment and for 5 months after.
- The study is not for people receiving targeted therapy for certain gene changes (EGFR, ALK, ROS1) or who are allergic to mRNA vaccines.
