Who can take part

  • You are 18–65 years old
  • You have a diagnosed connective tissue disease (like lupus, Sjögren's syndrome, or related autoimmune condition)
  • You have severe low platelet counts caused by your autoimmune disease
  • Standard treatments (steroids or immunosuppressive drugs) have not worked or you can't tolerate them
  • Your liver, kidney, and bone marrow function are adequate
  • You are willing to use contraception for 12 months after treatment and have no active infections, hepatitis, HIV, or recent cancer
