Who can take part

  • Child must be diagnosed with CDKL5 deficiency disorder (confirmed by genetic testing) and have epileptic seizures
  • Child must be between 6 months and 14 years old
  • Seizures must continue despite trying at least 2 different anti-seizure medications
  • Child must have had at least 8 motor seizures (sudden uncontrolled movements) every 4 weeks in the past 8 weeks
  • Current seizure medications and diet must stay the same for at least 4 weeks before and during the trial
  • Parent or caregiver must be able to keep a daily record of seizures on an electronic device and give written permission
