Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with spontaneous intracranial hypotension (low spinal fluid pressure causing headaches), confirmed by imaging and clinical criteria
  • You have never had an epidural blood patch or similar treatment before
  • You do not have active bleeding disorders, infections near the injection site, or space-occupying lesions in the brain or spine
  • You are not currently taking blood thinners (anticoagulation medications)
  • You are able to attend follow-up appointments and cooperate with rehabilitation and monitoring for at least several months
  • You do not have a history of severe substance abuse, cognitive impairment, or untreated mental illness that would interfere with your participation
