Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You have been diagnosed with takotsubo syndrome using established diagnostic criteria
- You are willing and able to provide informed consent to participate
- You do not have a blockage in a major heart artery or other heart muscle diseases
- You have not had a heart attack or heart procedure in the 6 months before your takotsubo event
- You are not currently receiving immunosuppressive medications (drugs that weaken the immune system)
