Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with Stage III or IV periodontitis (advanced gum disease)
- At least one tooth has a deep pocket (5 mm or deeper) and imaging shows significant bone loss
- You are between 18 and 70 years old and in generally good overall health
- Your diabetes (if you have it) is well-controlled, and you are not taking bone-affecting medications like bisphosphonates
- You do not smoke more than 10 cigarettes per day
- You are able to attend follow-up visits at 1, 3, 6, and 12 months
