Who can take part

  • You are right-handed and between 18 and 35 years old
  • Your BMI is between 18.5 and 30 (a measure of healthy weight for your height)
  • You do not exercise regularly—you get fewer than 150 minutes of moderate activity or 75 minutes of intense activity per week
  • You have not done strength training, aerobic exercise, or intensive hand/arm skill training in the past 6 months
  • You have no history of arm or hand injuries, and no medical conditions that would make exercise unsafe
  • You are not currently taking supplements like whey protein or creatine, or medications like antidepressants or anti-anxiety drugs
