  • Rectal cancer confirmed by biopsy (adenocarcinoma type)
  • Early-stage cancer (T1-3, N0 or N1 with 3 or fewer affected lymph nodes, no distant spread)
  • Cancer is suitable for treatment without surgery (organ preservation goal)
  • No prior radiation therapy to the pelvic area
  • Able to understand the study and provide written consent
