Who can take part

  • Had a stroke (either bleeding or clot type) between 1 month and 1 year ago
  • Currently receiving physical rehabilitation in a hospital or clinic
  • Able to walk 10 feet back and forth, with or without a cane or walker
  • Can understand instructions and consent to the study
  • No severe difficulty recognizing the left or right side of your body
  • No severe muscle stiffness that prevents proper positioning
