Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You are hospitalized with worsening heart failure and need stronger diuretic treatment
  • You have taken a loop diuretic (furosemide or torasemide) regularly for at least 2 days before hospitalization
  • You have signs of fluid buildup, such as shortness of breath, swelling in your legs, or chest congestion
  • Your kidneys are functioning adequately (eGFR ≥30) and your potassium and sodium levels are not dangerously low or high
  • You are not in an intensive care unit and your blood pressure is above 90 mmHg
