Who can take part

  • Confirmed diagnosis of multiple sclerosis (clinically definite type)
  • No MS relapses (flare-ups) for at least 6 months before starting
  • Age 18–75 years
  • Able to walk at least 10 meters, with or without a cane or walker
  • Normal or near-normal thinking and memory (score of 24 or higher on a mental screening test)
  • Blood pressure and oxygen levels in a safe range; no serious heart, lung, or bone problems
