Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You have non-small cell lung cancer (including adenocarcinoma or squamous types) or head-and-neck squamous cell cancer that has spread and cannot be treated with surgery or radiation alone
- Your cancer grew or came back while you were receiving pembrolizumab at the standard dose as your first immunotherapy treatment
- You are eligible for and willing to receive salvage chemotherapy (additional chemotherapy given after immunotherapy fails)
- Your general health and blood work allow you to safely receive further chemotherapy
- You are willing to give extra blood samples and sign consent; if tissue biopsy is planned, you must meet blood clotting and platelet requirements
