Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You have had shoulder pain for at least 3 months that is moderate to severe (rated 3 or higher on a pain scale)
- Your shoulder pain significantly limits daily activities (disability score above 20 points)
- You have a confirmed trigger point (tight muscle knot) in your infraspinatus muscle (deep shoulder muscle) that reproduces your familiar pain when pressed
- You have not had shoulder surgery or serious shoulder injury in the affected area
- You are not pregnant, do not have a pacemaker or bleeding disorder, and are not on blood thinners
