Who can take part

  • You are between 50 and 65 years old
  • You had a stroke confirmed by a doctor
  • You have numbness, tingling, or reduced feeling in your lower legs or feet from the stroke
  • Walking problems are only from your stroke, not from other conditions
  • Your balance score is below 45 on the Berg Balance Scale (a simple balance test)
  • Your feet and skin are healthy with no wounds, infections, or sores; you don't take heart medications like nitroglycerin, dopamine, or dobutamine
