Giredestrant for ER-positive breast cancer
Treatments studied
Part of Cancer, Skin clinical trials.
This expanded access program provides an experimental drug called giredestrant to people with ER-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer. It's designed for those with early-stage disease at reasonable risk of recurrence, or those with advanced cancer whose disease has progressed on standard hormone therapy plus a CDK4/6 inhibitor.
Summary written for real people, not researchers, by Clin2.
Who can take part
- Your breast cancer must be ER-positive and HER2-negative.
- If you have early breast cancer, you must have had surgery and be at medium or high risk of it coming back.
- If you have advanced breast cancer, your cancer must have progressed on at least 6 months of endocrine therapy combined with a CDK4/6 inhibitor, or come back within 12 months of stopping it.

- You must be healthy enough to swallow pills, have adequate organ function, and be willing to use contraception.

This study tests giredestrant, a new hormone-blocking medication, in postmenopausal women with early-stage ER+ breast cancer who have experienced intolerable side effects from their current aromatase inhibitor therapy. The trial will measure how well you tolerate this new drug and how it affects your quality of life.
This early-phase trial tests several combinations of cancer medicines to slow or control ER-positive breast cancer that has returned or progressed. It also checks safety and whether tumor or blood biomarkers can help match the right treatment to the right person.
This Phase 1 study tests a new drug (RGT-419B), given alone or with hormone (endocrine) therapy, in people with advanced ER-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer that has progressed after standard treatments. It looks mainly at safety and early signs of how well the treatment may work.
This trial studies how patients with early-stage, hormone-positive (ER+) breast cancer feel and how well they tolerate a new oral medication, giredestrant, during treatment. It aims to help improve quality of life and manage side effects.
This trial tests a new treatment (GDC-4198) alone or with another drug (giredestrant) compared to a standard combination (abemaciclib and giredestrant) for people with advanced hormone receptor-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer that has progressed after previous treatments.
This trial tests a combination of two oral medications (abemaciclib and giredestrant) given before surgery to women with a common type of early breast cancer (hormone receptor-positive, HER2-negative). The goal is to see if this treatment can shrink the tumor before surgery.
