New immunotherapy treatment for liver cancer returning after surgery

Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC)

This trial tests a new drug that combines two immunotherapy approaches (PD-1 and IL-2) given before surgery to treat hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer) that has come back 3 months to 2 years after your first surgery. Who can take part

  • You must be 18–75 years old and able to attend all study visits and follow instructions
  • You must have had liver cancer surgery before and now have confirmed cancer recurrence between 3 months and 2 years after that surgery
  • Your liver function must be healthy enough to safely remove the recurrent tumor (Child-Pugh Class A)
  • You need adequate blood counts, kidney function, and liver function based on recent blood tests
  • You cannot have received prior immunotherapy (PD-1/PD-L1 drugs) or be pregnant/breastfeeding
  • You must have a tumor that can be measured and has not received local treatment (like radiation or ablation)
