Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You have been diagnosed with nontuberculous mycobacterial lung disease (a lung infection caused by bacteria other than tuberculosis)
- You are not currently taking antibiotics for this lung infection
- You can use a mesh nebulizer machine at home to inhale salt water mist
- You do not have active tuberculosis, HIV, or uncontrolled asthma
- You have not had severe coughing up of blood or bad reactions to salt water inhalation before
