Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 75 years old.
- Your body mass index (BMI) is 28 or higher, or between 24 and 28 with at least one weight-related health problem (like high blood pressure or joint pain).
- You have been trying to lose weight with diet and exercise for at least 3 months, and your weight has been stable (within 5 kg) for the past 3 months.
- You are not planning to become pregnant or father a child during the study and for 6 months after, and you agree to use birth control.
- You have not taken certain weight-loss or diabetes medications in the past 3 months, and you do not have diabetes or other serious medical conditions.
- You are willing to sign a consent form and follow the study procedures.
