- You are scheduled for a video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) on one side of your chest.
- You are in good general health (ASA I-III).
- You are not allergic to local anesthetics like lidocaine.
- You do not have ongoing chronic pain or nerve pain before surgery.
- You do not have a bleeding disorder or take blood thinners that can't be stopped.
