  • You are 35 years or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes (HbA1c of 48 or higher).
  • You are male or a woman who has gone through menopause.
  • You are not currently smoking or have quit within the last 3 months.
  • You do not have serious health issues like uncontrolled high blood pressure, kidney problems, or heart disease.
