  • You have type 2 diabetes and do not use insulin.
  • You are between 30 and 75 years old.
  • You are not currently physically active on a regular basis.
  • You do not have serious heart, lung, kidney, or brain conditions that could limit exercise.
  • You can safely have an MRI scan (no metal implants, pacemaker, or similar).
