Who can take part
- You must have a confirmed diagnosis of Graves' disease, shown by lab tests.
- Your hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid) must be active and caused by Graves' disease.
- You cannot have had radioactive iodine treatment or surgery on your thyroid.
- You cannot have taken levothyroxine or other thyroid hormone medications in the last 6 weeks.
- You cannot have a history of thyroid storm (a life-threatening condition) in the last 6 weeks.
- You cannot have another autoimmune disease that needs treatment, or severe thyroid eye disease that needs immediate surgery.
