Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 75 years old.
- You have cirrhosis caused by fatty liver disease (not from viruses or alcohol) and it is still in a stable stage.
- Your liver stiffness (measured by a special ultrasound) is high enough, or you have lower platelets or higher liver scores.
- You have not had complications like fluid in the belly, bleeding from veins in the food pipe, or confusion from liver disease.
- You do not have other liver diseases like hepatitis B or C, autoimmune liver disease, or severe alcohol-related liver damage.
- You do not have a history of liver transplant or a procedure called TIPS (a shunt in the liver).
